20 Oct Spier Hoghouse | Taste&Titbits
2 Fridays ago I went to Spier Hoghouse to experience the the Beats, Beer and BBQ evening with a few bloggers and loved the space. Its the perfect place to unwind after a busy week, eat delicious food and listen to a fab band. The Stone Jets played on our night and if you get a chance to see them they are awesome.
This is such a fantastic local spot and also open Thursday and Saturday evenings.
There were a few outdoor games going on, an outside fire, an inside fire and then amazing food. Chef PJ Vadas sources local ingredients and cooks unpretentious food in the smoker – low and slow. The 3 main specialities at this venue being beer bread and barbecue. And of course the pastries. I mean this is a bakery after all. They make the best pasteis de nata this side of Portugal
The Hoghouse do after-work drinks on Friday afternoons, and serve a keg of free beer on tap from 17:00. Invite a few friends, linger a little or bring the family to enjoy a pulled pork bun, beef brisket or hot smoked trout bagel. Follow #freekegfriday for all the excitement!
